Through the years I have been fighting against obesity and trying to keep my weight off. I tried different methods: HerbaLife, Miracle Soup, Detox Diet, Atkins, Veggies, etc. After years of fighting to reduce my weight, on April 18, 2008 I decided to join Weight Watchers. It took me 13 weeks to loose 10% of my weight -- 15.8 pounds; and another 19 weeks to reach 124 pounds -- the top range of the BMI (Body Mass Index) for my body type. I spent 6 weeks in transition losing a few more pounds finishing off at 119.8 pounds on January 30, 2009.
With Weight Watchers, I spent 32 weeks -- the equivalent of 8 months -- to lose 32.4 pounds even though I was doing exercises 3 times a week and using every opportunity to increase my physical activity. Month after month I kept up my battle against any increase to my weight. Every week I weighed myself. For several months, my weight fluctuated between 114.4 to 119.8 pounds, while I measured and counted everything I put in my mouth.
I decided never again put my health at risk by being overweight. So I was determined to keep up my fight week after week.
Since I felt so much better after losing this weight, I encouraged my mother to join Weight Watchers, too. After following their guidelines for a period of time -- meticulously counting and measuring all of her food -- she had no change in her weight. Weight Watchers did not work for her. So in October 2009, my mom started on a different nutritional program she had found. This new program promised quick results. The only thing you have to worry about is eating 6 times a day, no counting or measuring.
My mom saw immediate results! So I wanted to try this program myself. I was in shock! In just two weeks of using this program I lost 14.6 pounds and I was full of energy! The food filled my body with essential vitamins and minerals, so I felt great. By using this program, I have now developed the habit of eating small meals every 2 or 3 hours. These meals are low in fat and carbohydrates. AND the best thing of all, now I only weigh 102 pounds!!! For the first time in my life I have a BMI of 20-21. I don't have to struggle with keeping my weight off, I found the KEY to success!!!!!
